A\J, or Alternatives Journal – Funding of $11,000 per day through Yukon College for the “Yukon Phoenix Pilot Project Training Initiative” a project to bring together First Nations youth, aged 12 to 14, and Whitehorse-based RCMP officers to participate in an immersive two-day workshop. The pilot aims to foster mutual understanding and respect between police and First Nations youth while constructing a safe, collaborative space to create “a muscle memory for future, positive interactions.”
